Vineyard Wind Allowed to Resume Full Activities Following Decision by U.S. District Court

BOSTON, MA – January 27, 2026 - The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts today issued a decision to allow Vineyard Wind to resume full activities in its lease area on the Outer Continental Shelf.

On January 15, 2026, Vineyard Wind filed a legal challenge to the suspension order issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) on December 22, 2025.  The Court’s decision today stays BOEM’s suspension order.  As the legal process proceeds, Vineyard Wind will continue to work with the Administration to understand the matters raised in the Order.

Vineyard Wind will focus on working in coordination with its contractors, the federal government, and other relevant stakeholders and authorities to safely restart activities, as it continues to deliver a critical source of new power to the New England region.
