BUOY BASED ACOUSTIC DETECTION SYSTEM (#92)

STATUS: Complete

Three buoy based acoustic detection systems will be deployed by GO AMERICA. The first deployment will take place from August 14th to August 18th  (Buoy #2 and #3) and the second deployment is scheduled for early September (Buoy #1). The buoys will remain in position through construction and will be collecting acoustic detections. Each buoy has a 5' in diameter by 11' in height with four solar panels on each (see image below). 

Please note SP#1 has been dragged off station approximately 1585m to the NE of original position.

41° 30.750'N

070° 51.756'W 

Standing by on VHF channel 16
