NEARSHORE CABLE PROTECTION

OFFSHORE WIND MARINER UPDATE NO. 87

STATUS: Active

On or about the 11th of July, weather depending, Vineyard Wind will be installing cable protection mattresses along a 90m stretch near Spindle Rock (see chart below). The circle in the chart indicates the 500m safety buffer zone. The BARBARA MILLER and the SEA FOX, along with a spud barge with a crane, will be conducting operations.  The TENACIOUS II will be operating around the activities as a safety vessel to monitor traffic and facilitate the safe movement of fishing vessels, recreational craft, or other transiting vessels, around the work sites and project vessels.

The Safety/Scout/Guard Vessel listed as working on this project may at times work on other projects and for other developers. We will try to keep the list updated, but occasionally the vessels switch from one project to another overnight to back each other up for short periods of time and this will not be reflected on the website.
